In Tunceli, where winter conditions were harsh, while animals such as lynx, wolves and mountain goats wandering in the snow were reflected on the cameras, images that brought to mind documentaries appeared.
As in many provinces, harsh winter conditions are effective in Tunceli. In certain regions of the city where snowfall continues from time to time, wild animals in their natural habitats are also displayed.
Özgür Balcı, who is a nature photographer in addition to animal husbandry in Pülümür district, was able to view the lynx, which is on the World Conservation Union (IUCN) red list, from close range because it is in danger of extinction.
Searching for food in the snowy area for a while, the lynx later disappeared into the woodland. Balcı, who photographed the lynx he came across while taking the animals to the stranger for a long time, also recorded that the same day, the wild goats, which were under protection according to the Bern Convention, progressed with difficulty under heavy snowfall.
Balcı managed to capture all three wolves wandering in the same area for hunting. Images did not search for documentaries.
Stating that the nature of the city is extremely rich in terms of wildlife, Özgür Balcı said, “These beauties should be preserved and passed on to future generations. “I also enjoy recording these riches as we come across”.
