Çaylan Lake, which kept ice in the winter months, started to thaw as the hot weather in Şırnak made itself felt better. Rafting, mountaineering and bicycle tours are organized to the lake, which is located at the highest point of the region.
Çalyan Lake, located in Yeşilöz village of Beytüşşebap district, which is in the triangle of Şırnak, Van and Hakkari, is located at the highest point of the region in terms of its location.
Located at a high altitude, the lake turns into an ice rink in winter. After the harsh winter, thawing began in the lake, which returned to the ice rink with the rising heat.
A citizen named Star Cin said that he took a photo in the plateau he went with his friends.
Cin said, “We have been coming here for years, we came early this year. There is a unique view here,” said Cin.
Members of the Kato Rafting and Nature Sports Club Association also invited nature lovers to Beytüşşebap.
Association president Serdar Gükçe said, “Our association organizes not only rafting, nature sports, mountaineering and cycling tours. I hope we have many projects this year. We have suspended our activities due to the pandemic. But thank God we are going to unexplored regions throughout the region. Hopefully we will introduce our district and city to European countries. . And we will be in Europe for this, “he said.
