Turkish Airlines announced that those arriving in Turkey from 8 countries will be quarantined for 14 days.

The announcement made on THY’s website included the decisions taken by the official authorities of the Republic of Turkey regarding entry into Turkey, as of today, within the scope of the measures to combat the Covid-19 global epidemic.

According to this, the submission of a negative PCR test report made at most 72 hours before the arrival time in Turkey from persons coming from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Brazil, South Africa, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and those who are understood to have been in these countries in the last 14 days will be requested and these people will be quarantined for 14 days in places to be determined by the governorates. The flight bans to Brazil and South Africa ended within this framework.

Persons arriving from the UK, Iran, Egypt and Singapore will be required to submit a negative PCR test report up to 72 hours prior to entry.

When entering Turkey from countries other than these, those who submit a document issued by the relevant country’s official authorities stating that they have been vaccinated at least 14 days before the entry and/or that the Covid-19 disease has been passed within the last 6 months will not be required to submit a PCR test report with a negative result separately, and for these people Quarantine measures will not be applied.

If the vaccination certificate or the documents proving the disease cannot be presented when entering Turkey from these countries, the PCR test report with a negative result maximum 72 hours before the entry or the submission of the negative rapid antigen test result maximum 48 hours before the entry will be deemed sufficient.

With the exception of those coming from the UK, Iran, Egypt and Singapore, passengers will be subjected to PCR testing on a sampling basis at their destination when entering Turkey. In this context, after the test samples are taken, the arriving passengers will be allowed to go to their final destination, and if the test results are positive, they will be treated in accordance with the Ministry of Health Covid-19 guide.

The HES code application will continue for flights within Turkey.
