Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Ziver Kaplan said that Şerife Bacı was a brave Anatolian woman.

Reminding that Şerife Bacı took part in the transportation of the ammunition sent from İnebolu to the front in order to provide logistical support in the liberation struggle, Kaplan said, “Şerife Bacı came to Kastamonu from İnebolu on February 21, 1921 with his oxcart, so that the ammunition did not get wet, he said, He said that while he was pulling the ox with barefoot and clothes that were not suitable for those conditions, he freezed and became a martyr while approaching Kastamonu.
