The work bearing the signature of a Turkish architect in Pakistan: Faisal Mosque

Within the framework of the project that came to the agenda during the visit of King Faisal of Saudi Arabia to Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan in 1966, a project competition was organized in 1969.

Among 17 projects from 43 countries in the competition, Turkish architect Vedat Dalokay’s drawing was awarded by the Government of Pakistan.
