Stating that the waterfall is fed by the waters coming from the high-altitude mountain ranges covering the south of the district, Şahinbaş said:
“The region is experiencing a long winter season. The melting of the snow in the spring brings fertile waters. The stream where the Meya Waterfall is located is one of the important branches of the Murat River, one of the two branches of the Euphrates. We shot in this shade in winter. The waterfall sheds ice, in the spring.” This place does not lose its water in any way because there are mountains reaching 3 thousand meters to the south. Melting snow waters feed the waterfall until August.
