Purified from terror, Munzur Mountains turned into a hidden paradise

The 3300-altitude Munzur Mountains, located in the middle of Erzincan and Tunceli, where peace and security have been established by clearing terrorism with the successful operations of the security forces, have now turned into a hidden paradise. The local tourists trekking in Munzur, where four seasons are experienced together with snow on the summit, colorful flowers blooming in summer and flowing streams, enjoyed tobogganing while the air temperature reached 29 degrees in the city center.

Starting from the village of Tatlısu in Erzincan, local tourists, who were hiking, traveled for kilometers and reached the Munzur Mountains with an altitude of 3300 altitude. Citizens ascending to the Munzurs, one side facing Erzincan and the other side Tunceli, could not hide their admiration for the magnificent nature they saw. With the summer, the local tourists, who passed the streams flowing more and smelling the flowers blooming colorfully, forgot the fatigue of the road they walked for miles.
Citizens cooled with snow in Munzur on the day when the air temperature reached 29 degrees in Erzincan city center, did not neglect to sledge with their bags and backpacks.
Citizens who had the pleasure of sledding on the summer day noted that they had an unforgettable day. Şükran and Suzan Ağgül, who came from Germany and Istanbul to Çağlayan town of Erzincan for a while due to their fathers’ discomfort, stated that they enjoyed trekking.
Şükran Ağgül said, “We always heard the Munzur Mountains on TV during terrorist incidents. When we came here, we were afraid to go up in the mountains. But now, with the establishment of peace and trust, we chose to go out with Murat Aydemir, who knows the region and the mountains very well. “It is a wonderful feeling to see the view and hundreds of endemic species and flowers in the Munzur Mountains at an altitude of 3300 meters.”
Suzan Ağgül, who comes from Istanbul, said, “I had never dreamed of seeing wildlife so close and seeing different species on the same day. From now on, I will continue to come to this beautiful nature whenever I have the opportunity. “It was a nice experience to skate in the snow this season.”
