Photo safari period in purple fields

The “purple tourism” lavender fields, which have been popular in recent years, are in high demand by local and foreign tourists.

A photo safari event was held in a purple lavender field by the Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism in Tekirdağ. Photographers using purple hues in the lavender field in Saray district tried to capture the best shot.
Citizens almost competed with each other to take pictures in the decorations created in the lavender field. Those who came to visit the field bought products made from lavender at the stands set up in the field.
Governor Aziz Yıldırım, speaking to reporters at the event, said that there are lavender-scented fields in many parts of Tekirdağ. Pointing to the importance of medicinal and aromatic plants, Yıldırım said, “Lavender is cultivated in many places in Turkey. I congratulate our producers of medicinal and aromatic plants. These products also provide additional income for our citizens. I would like to thank everyone who produces lavender and contributes to its promotion.”
Provincial Culture and Tourism Director Ahmet Hacıoğlu stated that the lavender fields in Tekirdağ attract many visitors to the city. Explaining that lavender cultivation has become widespread in the city, Hacıoğlu said, “We are trying to bring the purple color in these fields together with tourism. We will contribute to attract more people to our city by organizing more events next year. We want to announce these natural beauties in our city to Istanbul and Turkey. You should come and see these beauties next to you,” he said.
