Mule Lakes, the ‘blue beads’ of the Coral Mountains, fascinate nature and photography enthusiasts

Located between the Munzur and Mercan Mountains, at an altitude of 1500, Ovacık is frequented by many local and foreign tourists with its unique nature and untouched beauties.

The district, where the untouched Munzur Valley National Park, Mercan Glacier Lakes, Kırkmerdiven Waterfalls, Munzur Eyes and Kepır Plateau are located, draws attention with its white appearance in winter and lush green in summer.

Attracting visitors with its rich flora, endemic species, historical sites and wildlife throughout all four seasons, the Katır Lakes, located in the Mercan Mountains at an altitude of about 3,000, have taken on a different beauty with the melting of the snow.
