Konya’s bird paradise Akgöl Reeds hosts thousands of flamingos


Known as the bird paradise of the Konya Plain, Akgöl reeds are located on one of the important migration routes of migratory birds in Turkey.

The reeds, which are of great importance in terms of sheltering, nesting and incubation areas of migratory birds, host many creatures such as flamingos, small cormorants, white pelican, pied heron, paddy seller, spoonbill and grizzly duck.
