Iranian cyclists on the tour of Turkey: they will travel 450 kilometers

Eighteen Iranian cyclists who come to Turkey for vacation will travel a total of 450 kilometers on the Mediterranean and Aegean coasts in 10 days.

Eighteen Iranians who are members of the non-governmental organization called “Those Who Go on the Road by Bicycle”, which operates in their country, came to Antalya by plane from Tehran. The group set off from here with their bicycles and reached Demre district. The group, which travels an average of 70 kilometers a day, will go to Marmaris district of Muğla. The group, aiming to travel a total of 450 kilometers in 10 days, will return to Antalya by bus from Marmaris and fly to their countries.
Computer engineer Polat Abadi (42), who led the group, said, “We are a group organized throughout Iran. We have friends who come to Turkey 4-5 times. Our aim is to get to know different countries, different cultures, different regions and people of a country. There is a city and natural beauty. The natural beauty of this region fascinates people. We visited the ancient cities of Phaselis, Olympos, Myra. We do not rush in the places we go.
Polat Abadi said that they came from cities such as Tehran, Kermanshah, Mashhhad and Tabriz and said, “Another slogan of ours in Iran is ‘The world is not garbage’. We organize different events in Iran within the framework of this slogan. We are working to leave the world. There is the same environmental problem in Turkey. We clean the environment where we camp. Turkey is a very beautiful country. It is close to Iran in terms of culture. There is no security problem. We stay in tents at night. “It is very quiet. This is perhaps an advantage for us, but it seems strange to people. Cities and roads are different with vehicles. Turkey is safer than many countries on the pandemic. We have no fear.”
