Goynuk, the Ottoman town declared as a ‘calm city’, impresses

Göynük Mayor Ahmet Çankaya said that the district, which is visited by thousands of tourists every year, hosts fewer people during the epidemic process.

Pointing out that the district has a distinctive feature with its cultural and architectural structure as well as its spiritual and social structure, Çankaya said, “Göynük is an area suitable for tourism in all aspects. There are thermal waters around us. We have the advantage of highland tourism. Caravan and tent tourism, safari, rafting and trekking. There are also infrastructures for it,” he said.
