Sandıklı Municipality, which operates the facilities, also ensures that the visitors have a pleasant time with the sultanate boat, lotus boats and sea bikes it has brought to the Akdağ pond. According to the data of the municipality, Kocayayla, which was visited by 100 thousand people last year, will meet with nature lovers this year with the feast.
Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Tanır said that Akdağ is the center of attraction of the region with its natural beauties and wildlife. Stating that Akdağ offers a great opportunity for those who want to be in touch with nature away from the pandemic, Tanır said: “Although we are in spring, snow is seen in the high parts of Akdağ. You can trekking in Tokalı Canyon. You can observe the wildlife with endemic plants here. The unique view of the pond and pine trees is here. Especially for nature lovers, Akdağ offers this opportunity.
Tanır emphasized that Kocayayla was an isolated attraction center in 2020 and that 100 thousand tourists from the surrounding provinces, especially Istanbul, Ankara, İzmir and Antalya, visited the region. Stating that they expect an influx of more than 100 thousand visitors this year, if the pandemic does not affect the restrictions, Tanır said, “Now people are tired of cities and apartments. They prefer places intertwined with nature. Akdağ offers people pleasant environments with these natural landscapes. “The number of daily trips and tourists coming to the camp will increase,” he said.
Sandıklı Municipality Culture and Social Affairs Manager Hasan Kaşdaş explained that the preparations for the accommodation and social facilities in Kocayayla, the favorite place of nature, camping and caravan tourism, are ongoing.
Stating that they will start to book bungalow houses during Ramadan, Kaşdaş said, “We will open a new season in our accommodation and social facilities as of Ramadan. We are waiting for our Park. ” used the expression.
