Cruise ships open to fully vaccinated passengers: Demand boom

Royal Caribbean, an American global cruise company based in Liberia and US-based, announced yesterday that it will continue its sea voyage in North America with flights from June 12 to August. Tickets went on sale from March 24.

It was stated that only fully vaccinated adults and passengers under 18 years of age with negative PCR will be allowed on board. The company also noted that all crew members will be vaccinated.

“Vaccines are clearly a game changer for all of us. As the number of vaccinated people increases rapidly, we believe it is the right choice to start the journey with vaccinated adult guests and crew,” said Michael Bayley, CEO of Royal Caribbean.

According to the company statement, the seven-day tours will follow the following route: two days on a private Bahama island, two days in the Bahama Island and Cozumel on the “Perfect Day” at CocoCay.

However, the newest ship of Royal Caribbean, Odyssey of the Seas, with a capacity of 4,198 passengers, will sail from Israel to the Mediterranean in May. Here, too, all passengers and crew over the age of 16 will be vaccinated.
