‘Covid-free island’ plan to save the tourist season in Italy

Previously in Italy, the administration of the Campania region allowed the residents of the tourist islands such as Capri, Ischia and Procida to be given vaccination priority. However, this decision led to controversy, and there were objections across the country that the elderly and risky groups should be vaccinated first and that giving priority to these islands constitutes discrimination.
