Covid-19 effect: travel demand still low in the US

The global tourism industry has suffered significantly in the past year due to the impact of travel restrictions caused by the Covid-19 outbreak and a drop in travel demand.

The US Travel Association reported that its survey showed Americans remain cautious about travel, and it is far from clear when travel demand will recover on its own.

The industry has once again requested new tax cuts to encourage leisure and business travel.
