Blue flag beach of the landlocked city

Tusba Mayor Salih Akman reminded that the first and only public beach in Turkey’s inland waters fulfilled the blue flag criteria in 33 categories last year.

Stating that he has fulfilled the blue flag criteria, which is an international environmental award, and preserved its place in the list, President Akman said, “Although our blue flag public beach is built on 20 decares of land, it has a place preferred by tourists from the Eastern and Southeastern regions and neighboring countries. The area of our beach, which was preferred by local and foreign tourists, was insufficient. We have started the construction of Ayanıs Public Beach in addition to our blue flag beach in order to eliminate this deficiency and to provide a better service. This beach, which will be built on an area of 22 decares, has a 300-meter lake shore. “We will put this beach in the service of our people as of July,” he said.
