Belha Monastery in Cappadocia awaits to be brought into tourism

Turkey’s most important tourism centers in Cappadocia, Balkh Monastery awaiting to tourism.

Belha Monastery, one of the major centers where the basic religious teachings of the first Christians who escaped from Roman pressure after the 4th century in Anatolia, are carried out, is located near Özkonak Town, 18 kilometers from Avanos district of Nevşehir.
Belha Monastery is one of the cultural assets that can survive with its holy spring, dungeon, kitchen, watchtower and Roman Bath, which have been believed to be sacred since Roman times.
Belha Monastery was also used as one of the important monasteries where boys and girls received religious education in different places with its magnificent structure in the past.
The collapse of the Belha Monastery was prevented by a four-column entrance to the collapsed front section of the Belha Monastery, a large part of which was destroyed.
The monastery, whose other rooms are mostly destroyed, is waiting to be brought to tourism through restoration work.
