Arslantepe Mound, the birthplace of the state system, is a candidate for UNESCO’s permanent list


Stating that Arslantepe Mound, which has been found in the historical period from the Late Chalcolithic Period to the Iron Age, has hosted many civilizations from the Hittites to Rome and Byzantium, Güder continued as follows:

“Arslantepe Mound was inhabited from 5000 BC to the 11th century AD. We are talking about a history and settlement of 7 thousand years. We have been carrying out very serious studies for 2 years to include Arslantepe Mound in the World Heritage Permanent List. Our biggest expectation is that Arslantepe Mound is included in the permanent list. Good days are waiting for Arslantepe Mound in the international arena.
