Turkey’s nature, history and culture of the important tourism centers of the Cappadocia region, in January this year and 93 thousand 128 tourists visited in February.

Cappadocia continues to attract the attention of domestic and foreign tourists with various activities including fairy chimneys and valleys covered with natural rock formations, historical churches and monasteries carved from rocks, underground settlements and hot air balloon tour.
According to the data of Nevşehir Culture and Tourism Directorate, 42,560 tourists visited the museums and archaeological sites in the region in January and 50,568 tourists in February.
In Cappadocia, in January and February this year, the most visited visits were made to Göreme Open Air Museum with 30 thousand 786 people. 25 thousand 975 tourists visited Zelve Ruins and 18 thousand 289 tourists visited Kaymaklı Underground City.
Göreme Mayor Ömer Eren stated that the density in the region has increased with the start of the new controlled normalization process and that tourism is maintained in a healthy environment within the framework of the measures taken.
Noting that local and foreign guests coming to Cappadocia definitely stop by Göreme town, Eren said, “Göreme Open Air Museum and its surrounding valleys host domestic and foreign tourists. Our guests, who visit the historical and cultural values ​​around the fairy chimneys, admire the region. I believe we will have a better tourism season compared to the year. ” said.
