Hotels and hostels in Amasra, the historical and touristic district of Bartın, reached 100 percent occupancy rate before Eid al-Adha. Amasra Mayor Recai Çakır said that they expect 200 thousand tourists together with daily holidaymakers before and during the holiday.
Amasra started to be flooded with visitors during the normalization period. With the reservations taken before the Eid al-Adha, 100 percent of the hotels and hostels with a capacity of 5 thousand beds are filled.
It is expected that 200 thousand tourists will come to Amasra, whose town center has a population of 6,600, during the holiday, together with daily vacationers.
Amasra Mayor Recai Çakır stated that all accommodation facilities are full and said, “Our Amasra will be the scene of intense visitor traffic this year, as every year. Currently, there is one week until the feast, but all our accommodation facilities have already reached 100 percent occupancy rate,” he said.
Çakır said, “So there is no room left. Of course, the intense influx of visitors will cause all our villages around Amasra to gain momentum in terms of both house and hostel business.”
20-30 THOUSAND HOLIDAYS ARE EXPECTED TO BLUE FLAG INKUM A DAY. Inkum holiday resort, which has the only blue flag beach in Bartın with its 3 kilometer coastline, attracts attention especially by daily tourists.
Bartın Mayor Cemal Akın said, “Our guests who come to our Amasra district already and during the Eid-al-Adha holiday definitely stop by Inkum. We are currently expecting 20-30 thousand people per day in Inkum. As the municipality, we took all our measures in the blue flag inkum,” he said.
